What the 14-day trial is
When you set up Welwa, you pick which dietary filters matter to you out of all seven. If one of them is a Premium filter (Kosher, Halal, Keto, Sugar-Free, or GMO-Free), Welwa gives you that filter free for 14 days — two full grocery cycles to see if it earns the upgrade.
No credit card. No auto-conversion. When the 14 days end, the filter becomes locked and you choose whether to upgrade. Your family profiles, scan history, and Free-tier filters stay exactly as they were.
Subscription details
Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Manage in Play Store settings. Standard Google Play 48-hour refund policy applies.
Why Premium exists
Building and maintaining Welwa costs money — server infrastructure, certification database licensing, OCR processing, ongoing label-recognition improvements. Premium subscriptions fund the people and the technology that keep allergen detection working for everyone, including the Free-tier majority.
Premium does not unlock allergen detection. We never paywall safety. Premium unlocks features that build on the allergen floor — religious filters, lifestyle filters, family scale, history, and the ad-free experience.
What about a free trial of Premium Plus?
Premium Plus does not have a free trial in V1. Premium Tier 1's 14-day filter trial is the only trial Welwa offers at launch. We may add a Premium Plus trial after launch — if it helps the families who need exportable reports and unlimited members find the right tier.
